Dental Care

At Inglemoor Animal Hospital we take pride in the dental services we offer which range from teeth cleaning to complex oral surgeries. A professional dental cleaning removes not only tartar and plaque from the teeth surfaces but also kills bacteria under the gums. This bacteria is the main source of periodontal disease which in advanced stages, can travel to the heart, kidneys and liver, causing inflammation and disease. Studies show that more than 80% of dogs over age three have some form of periodontal disease. Most owners are unable to recognize dental pain in their pets so it is important to have your pet regularly scheduled for oral exams and teeth cleaning. Should we find any issues we will discuss them with you and offer treatment options.

Symptoms of Dental Disease:

Superior Care

At Inglemoor Animal Hospital we guarantee that your pets will receive quality and compassionate care with a special emphasis on safety. Our expert staff uses advanced digital dental radiology to diagnose and determine the best treatment for your pet. All dental cleanings are done under general anesthesia to provide maximum comfort, safety and thoroughness in our treatments. Prior to treatment we run a pre-anesthetic blood test to obtain an accurate picture of your pet’s health and while under anesthesia we monitor all vitals and supply intravenous fluid to maintain hydration and blood pressure. Once the dental procedure is complete we continue to closely monitor your pet as he or she wakes up from anesthesia, using techniques to help them wake up comfortably.
